Grant Thornton Relies on 5FSoftware for Digital Client Communication

Regensburg, March 01, 2022. The Grant Thornton AG, one of the leading medium-sized auditing companies in Germany, relies on the cloud collaboration platform from 5FSoftware. This has been rolled out in the auditing company across Germany, across locations and across various business areas in recent months. Among other things, the 5F team set up and trained over 600 employees as platform users. The successful cooperation has now established a partnership at eye level, which is already working together on further functions for the 5F platform.
Digitalization is not an End in Itself
Auditors and tax consultants are currently facing the challenge of requesting, obtaining, tracking and digitally processing the large number of data from their clients – despite the promising future visions surrounding artificial intelligence and process automation.
The Cloud Collaboration Platform from 5FSoftware supports here. The request for documents takes place completely digitally from the first process step, as well as regardless of location and device and, of course, in compliance with the GDPR. Thanks to the scalability of the 5F platform, almost any client structure and client size can be mapped.
The 5F platform thus offers intuitive and intelligent solutions for requesting, collecting and digitizing client data.
High Data Security Requirements for Professional Secret Bearers
Professional secret bearers work daily with sensitive data from their clients. According to 5FSoftware’s security understanding, widespread file-sharing solutions are not suitable for digital data exchange and digital communication between professional secret bearers and clients. At 5FSoftware, on the other hand, data security comes first. Grant Thornton also shares this view, which is why they chose 5FSoftware.
“The review of 5FSoftware’s services has shown that the solution was designed from the start to meet the needs of auditors, tax consultants and lawyers – especially when it comes to data protection and data security.”
Philipp Wiesauer, Head of Strategic Digital Projects Grant Thornton AG
Grant Thornton Confirms: 5f Supports with the Introduction and Accompanies its Customers in the Long Term
In order to put the Cloud Collaboration Platform from 5FSoftware into application, the 600 users of Grant Thornton had to be introduced to the platform as quickly as possible. On the one hand, the 5F team was confronted with the ubiquitous difficulties of the COVID-19 pandemic. On the other hand, they faced the major challenge of training a large number of users who are spread across a large number of locations in Germany.
All these challenges could be mastered through a strategically oriented training concept. The feedback from Grant Thornton is the confirmation of success for this.
“We have never experienced a smoother introduction of a new system. The acceptance of the employees is overwhelming. We also receive a lot of positive feedback from our clients.”
Philipp Wiesauer, Head of Strategic Digital Projects Grant Thornton AG
From the perspective of 5FSoftware, this is precisely the key to success when it comes to the introduction of a new software solution for clients – but also in the law firms:
“Our support is not a one-time service. Rather, we see ourselves as solution finders and are in constant exchange with our customers, who use our platform every day. So we can together develop concepts to adapt the platform to individual needs.”
Christian Lang, CEO of 5FSoftware GmbH
Grant Thornton and 5FSoftware – Partnership with a Future
After the first business areas are already working successfully with the 5F platform, the project cooperation now provides for the rollout to all other business areas. In total, more than 1,300 Grant Thornton users are expected to work with the Cloud Collaboration Platform.
At the same time, separate development projects, such as single sign-on for all employees, were also carried out. The open mutual exchange and the high degree of utilization mean that the 5F platform is put to the test every day. The practice-oriented and high-quality feedback helps to continuously develop the 5F platform.
Another advantage: All developments to the software are carried out entirely in-house and autonomously. Chief developer Andreas Baier sees a unique selling point in this:
“5FSoftware is independent of external development service providers and can respond quickly and flexibly to feedback, wishes and suggestions and implement them.”
Andreas Baier, CTO and co-founder of 5FSoftware
We look forward to continuing and expanding the successful cooperation to date.
